Transforming Education for English Learners Consulting (TEELC) Services team is comprised of experienced bilingual bilcultural educators who have planned and provided professional development for district and site administrators, teachers, support personnel, college students, parents, and community members. Our targeted clients are educational agencies who have English Learners. Learn more about the members of TEELC on the about us page.

TEELC's mission is to provide systemic and cost effective professional development. Our two pronged approach consists of cognitive theory and practical strategies at the elementary and middle school levels. Our objective is to accelerate and sustain academic achievement of English Learners by creating a collaboratively developed Implementation Plan for professional development.

TEELC's professional development objective is to guide a collegial dialogue with district and/or site leaders, develop a customized thirty day on-site visitation, conduct assessment data analysis, collaboratively create and communicate implementation plan, put the plan into action and review plan every six weeks with a progress report. This process provides data that guides district and school site decisions for professional development that it is cost effective and systemic.

As a result of their years of combined experience, members of TEELC are familiar with State of California and federal educational requirements (No Child Left Behind). To find out more about the services that TEELC provides, click here.

In addition, with TEELC's specialty as cross-cultural advocates for empowering English Learners and educators, TEELC members are all fluent in the Spanish language, Latino and Mexican-American culture, traditions, and learning styles, which enhances their perspective for linguistic and academic needs of the English Language Learner.
